Garth Hixon began tattooing in Fayetteville, NC in 1995. There he spent two years apprenticing and tattooing under Petey Roderick and the owners of Smoking Guns Tattoos. After returning home to Michigan he began working at Detroit Tattoo for the next 18 months. The last twelve years have been spent in Utica,MI tattooing either at Magic Touch or Co-owning Big Top Tattoo since 2005.

Garth is influenced by a wide range of traditional tattooers both American and Japanese. Only through knowledge of the past and an appreciation of the history of tattooing Garth has made a positive contribution to the art. His "neatly done" tattooing is available by appointment, so call for availability.
